Cheng, pioneer in biotech testing industry founded Multigenes Scientific, a Malaysian-based company that brings the latest biotechnology technologies from overseas to the Malaysian research centres and institutions (R&D). Mr. Cheng holds a Masters of Science in Microbiology and Bachelor Degree in Microbiology from University Putra Malaysia. Mr Cheng also assists the Malaysian government and private sectors on the biotechnology, aquacultures, veterinary health care, disease diagnostics, monitoring and surveillance programmes and the equipment maintenance at the research facilities. Mr. Cheng has given talks and presentations in biotechnology, both locally and internationally, such as the Halal Institute of Brunei.
